Coaching Principles
Start with “WHY”: Core values and purpose
Define your “WHAT”: Proven and effective tools to help you define who and where you are (as a business and personally) and what you’re aiming at
Live your “HOW”: A daily practice of making conscious choices about how you use your talents and resources, aligned with your commitments and values. Weekly check-ins give you insight and perspective, fueling continuous progress and growth.
Most business books and seminars are great at the What and Why. They help you define a vision and are great at inspiring you.
Real growth and change happens only with ongoing practice. Most of us are resistant to change, at some level. Once the initial inspiration wears off, we tend to revert to our old way of being. Working with a coach is the “How” that keeps your attention and awareness on the “What” and the “Why”; closing the loop and creating lasting progress and change.
“Work-Life Balance” is a nearly universal struggle/endeavor for most executives.
As long as you are “balancing”, you are juggling competing external demands on your resources (time, energy, money and focus). I invite you to go beyond “Balance” to “Integration”.
I help you to take a holistic look at the key commitments in all areas of your life.
Learning to make conscious choices about how you use your resources to meet those commitments is the core of self-accountability. Conscious choices, made with awareness of your core commitments, lead to greater satisfaction and less stress.
Our weekly accountability sessions bring awareness to your choices and help keep you in alignment with what’s most important in your whole life.
Self-accountability begins with these beliefs:
1. I have the capacity to own 100% of my choices
2. Every choice carries a consequence to me and to others
3. I value long-term fulfillment over short-term comfort
Being self-accountable means:
1. Being willing to honestly evaluate your skills, habits and behaviors
2. Committing to what is truly important to you
3. Making conscious choices and taking skillful action based on 1 and 2
What would it be worth to your organization if everyone in your company approached each issue and opportunity with a mindset of self-accountability?
It starts with you.
